Where You Can Find the Registration Centers For Obtaining Your Philippine National ID?

The government announced last year about the implementation of the new Philippine National ID System.

Many Filipinos were curious about the new ID system. This ID system combines all the ID cards issued by the government into one, which is called the PhilID or the PhilSys ID. That’s why they are looking forward to when and where they can get one.

Apparently, you can register for the National ID once it becomes available in September. Before applying for your National ID, it’s important to know the basic details that you need to provide.
President Rodrigo Duterte had mandated the PSA to implement the National ID bill.

According to RA 11055, all Filipino citizens or resident alien must register for the new ID system. With this, relevant information that will be collected includes the following:

Full name
Date of birth
Place of birth
Sex
Address
Permanent residence
Present address (optional)
Blood type
Marital status (optional)
Filipino or resident alien
e-mail address (optional)
mobile number (optional)

The Philippine Identification System Act has registration centers that have the facilities to capture the information required to be enclosed in the registry to collect the information and encode it in the registry are the following:

PSA Regional and Provincial Offices;
Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs);
Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for its members and their dependents;
Social Security System (SSS) for its members and their dependents;
Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth);
Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF);
Commission on Elections (COMELEC);
Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost); and
Other government agencies and GOCCs as may be assigned by the PSA.

Note: The list of offices of the above-mentioned agencies, which will be designated as registration centers, shall be posted on the PSA website.

How about for the Filipinos residing in abroad?

The registration shall be made in the nearest Philippine Embassy or Philippine Foreign Service post, or other registration centers that may be designated by the Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the PSA.

How much is the Registration Fee for National I.D?

The initial application and issuance as well as renewal of the PhilID for citizens shall be free of charge. Renewal shall pertain to the replacement of the PhilID arising from recapturing or updating of biometric information.

Fees for the (a) initial application and issuance as well as renewal of a PhilID to resident aliens, and (b) issuance of a replacement PhilID to citizens and resident aliens due to loss, damage, or change of entries therein shall be subject to the schedules of fees to be issued by the PSA.

Fees, however, shall not apply to citizens upon presentation of a Certificate of Indigency issued by the City/Municipal Social Welfare Office.
